Michael P. Welch has been elected partner at Rivkin Radler in Uniondale. The Huntington Station resident is a member of the insurance coverage and litigation, and litigation and appeals practice groups.
Joseph T. La Ferlita has been promoted to counsel at Farrell Fritz in Uniondale. The Manhattan resident concentrates his practice in trust and estate law with an emphasis on estate planning, estate and trust administration and tax controversy.
Jeffrey I. Scott has joined Goldberg & Connolly in Rockville Centre as an associate in the construction practice and construction litigation groups. He was most recently an associate at Mintz & Fraade in Manhattan and lives in Syosset.

Carol Fleming has been named sales representative at Edge Electronics in Bohemia, a distributor of electronic components and display solutions. The Hauppauge resident is a specialist in military and government regulations. She was recently a sales and purchasing manager at World Express Electronics in Bohemia.
