Anne Chen has joined The EGC Group in Melville as search marketing specialist. Chen was senior account manager at Mason Interactive in Lynbrook. She lives in Jericho.
Cathy Pollini has joined Harrison Leifer DiMarco in Rockville Centre as an account manager. She was senior director, corporate communications at Eisai in New Jersey and lives in Port Jefferson Station.

Judith Pockriss has been elected president of the Association of Professional Volunteer Administrators, which promotes professionalism and leadership in the field of volunteer administration on Long Island. The Freeport resident is the volunteer coordinator for all Nassau County-run museums.
Gib Chapman has been elected president of the Planting Fields Foundation board. He is a principal at Bessemer Trust in Manhattan and lives in Oyster Bay.
Elizabeth Carll has been elected to the American Psychological Association Council of Representatives. The Centerport resident is a clinical and consulting psychologist in private practice in Huntington and Centerport.
FINANCE
Norma A. Amodeo has become a partner in the Hauppauge accounting firm, Amodeo & Amodeo. The Hauppauge resident was promoted from accountant.
GOVERNMENT
The U.S. Department of Energy's Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton named four directors to its photon sciences directorate. The group will manage the National Synchrotron Light Source and the under-construction National Synchrotron Light Source II, scheduled to open for operation in 2014. The new directors are: Ferdinand Willeke of Shoreham, accelerator division; Qun Shen of Setauket, photon division; Martin Fallier of East Moriches, facilities division; and Diane Hatton of Southampton, business division.

Annemarie Doodian has joined Assisted Living at Home and New York Nursing Care in Hicksville as associate partner and vice president. The Huntington resident was director of service excellence, patient advocacy, stroke designation and nursing initiatives at St. Joseph's Hospital in Bethpage.

Deborah J. Piazza has joined Abrams, Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Greenberg, Formato & Einiger in Lake Success as partner. The Lakeville Estates resident was a partner at Hodgson Russ in Manhattan.
Anthony W. Cummings of Bay Shore has joined the litigation practice group at the East Meadow law firm of Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman. Prior to this appointment, he was in his own practice.
Michael Alber has joined DerGarabedian, Dillon, Grizopoulos, Nathan & Coluccio in Rockville Centre as an associate. The Dix Hills resident was a Nassau County assistant district attorney.
