“It’s a great starter home,” listing agent Michael Kenduck of Cruse Real Estate (516-826-2100) says of this bank-owned house in Freeport. The two-bedroom, one-bath ranch was built in 1927. It needs some work, says Kenduck. There’s mold in the basement, some missing siding and several rooms are painted in “funky” colors, he says. But there is a full basement, he adds.
This hi-ranch in Wyandanch has been broken into about six times, says Frank Profeta, who is listing the bank-owned property on behalf of Homeside Realty Group Inc. (631-289-5151). Copper pipes were stolen and a countertop was ripped from its surface and thrown on the floor, he says. “It’s an as-is sale,” he says. “[The bank] is not going to do any repairs.” There are five bedrooms and two baths, and the property is 100 by 100 feet. “The price is the pro,” he says. “It’s tremendously well priced.”
The copper pipes also were stolen at this Bellport cape, says listing agent William LeMaire III of Coldwell Banker M&D Good Life (631-878-6080). As a result, “it needs an entirely new heating system,” he says, adding that the four-bedroom, one-bath house also needs new plumbing. Built in 2002, the house is being sold as a short sale, although the roof, windows and siding are in good shape, he adds.
