WHY IT'S FOR SALE The couple, who have two children - Jack, 14, and Owen, 12 - say they would like to buy a bigger house in the village.
This Colonial is about to celebrate its centennial birthday. Jenni and Tim say they love the classic moldings, solid wood doors, cast-iron heaters and other details you find only in older homes. The "inner workings" have all been updated. A sample includes the new kitchen, two new full bathrooms with new plumbing, an upgraded electric system, new windows, roof and furnace. The couple converted the third-floor attic into an office for Tim, 48, an advertising sales director. Jenni, 45, a landscape designer, chats about the house:
"About 10 years ago, we added the great room with a fireplace and some additional closet space. ... One of our favorite spots is the new front sunroom with the French doors. Its southern exposure makes it warm and cozy in the winter, but it stays cool in the summer with the shade of two large maple trees in front of the home. ... The backyard is nice and private. We have a large blue stone and red brick patio and still some lawn space for the kids. The garage is converted into a shed with electric. People say it looks like a cottage. ... We really feel the home is turn-key."
