A paid-up membership comes with Commack home

The seller of this eight-room Colonial located in the Hamlet Golf and Country Club in Commack will pay the social fee -- about $8,700 -- for the first year for the new homeowner, says Barbara Bianchini of RE/MAX Beyond in Melville, who is marketing the house for $619,000.
Bianchini, who also lives in the community, says residents must become social members, which entitles them to a host of amenities that include access to the clubhouse, a fitness center, lighted tennis courts and a swimming pool. Golf membership, Bianchini adds, is separate.
Overlooking two fairways, the house has wood floors, moldings, recessed lighting and many windows. “It’s open and airy,” Bianchini says. There are three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Central air-conditioning, a 1.5-car garage, a brick patio and a deck are among the amenities.
