A first-time home buyer's workshop is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 4, at Nassau Community College, through the Department of Lifelong Learning, Office of Continuing Education.
Instructor Bernard Caprera said the topics to be covered include getting started, the step-by-step buying process, credit scores, different types of mortgages, deadlines and closing dates, and contract nuances. To pick up a registration and a parking pass, contact 516-572-7472 before 4 p.m. Friday, June 3. The cost is $50 per person.
