Built at the turn of the last century, this Amagansett home was one of the original 14 summer cottages built on Bluff Road, with ocean views from the third floor. It is on the market for $6.25 million.

The five-bedroom, 3 1⁄2-bathroom, wood-shingled home has been given a modern update, with new utility systems and a white marble kitchen and bathrooms, but retains much of its historic charm, with four fireplaces and large bay windows.

There is a large porch and balconies, and the half-acre property has a gunite pool. The house is down the street from a property once owned by actress Kathleen Turner.
