Talk about an enchanting setting. This 1918 home in Brookhaven hamlet, as well as its guest cottage, is on 2.5 acres amid woods, perennial gardens, a treehouse and a stream that spills into a pond.

Stone walks and three private patios enclosed by walls draped with ivy complete the storybook setting.

“It has great curb appeal,” says Nancy Schaefer of Swan Realty, who is marketing the property for $659,000.

It originally belonged to the late Edna Woolman Chase, who was editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine from 1914 to 1952. Chase, along with her daughter, Ilka Chase, an actress and novelist, summered here.

The main house retains some original features such as wide plank floors and three fireplaces, including one in the master bedroom.

Modern amenities include the spa master bath with a Jacuzzi tub, a separate shower and heated floor.

There are  two more full bathrooms and a total of four bedrooms.

The cottage has one bedroom and one bathroom. The root cellar is also intact, Schaefer says.
