The mayor of the village of Brookville may be packing up, but she’s not moving out entirely.

Caroline Bazzini is selling her four-bedroom, 3 ½-bath Colonial home in the village. The moving truck won’t have to go far, however, as the family will take up residence on another property they own next door.

The house Bazzini is selling was built in the late 1800s. It sits on 2-plus acres of land that lead to the edge of a freshwater pond, says Barbara Candee, who is listing the home on behalf of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty. At one time, the property belonged to a working 180-acre farm; the home was built for the farm manager, says Candee.

The 12-room home is listed for $2.25 million, and includes a formal dining room, a family room, nine fireplaces and a three-car garage.
