Why it’s for sale Debbie, 61, a homemaker, and Angelo, 64, who handles logistics for a Hauppauge company, say they are getting ready to retire and will be downsizing.
The large backyard at the Gandolfo property is home to a built-in pool, covered patio and firepit. Debbie talks about their home:
“We have a very nice kitchen that we renovated about five years ago. The appliances, cabinets, granite counters, flooring and backsplash are all new. The backyard is almost a half-acre and flat. Friends from New York City call it Central Park. We have a covered 30-foot paver patio and a built-in pool with a paver surround. The driveway and walkway were also done with pavers. . . .
"We have a really beautiful built-in wall unit in the main family room, which also has a large skylight. We have a large formal dining room. We turned our original family room into an office/living room and made a small mudroom with a pocket door off the garage.
"Anyone could turn the original family room into a fourth bedroom just by adding a closet. We have a large pantry off the kitchen with beautiful pantry doors. It used to be the laundry room. . . . We have a very handy and large 5-by-30-foot closet off the main family room.”
