Doll says Goo Goo bye to LI, hello LA

John Rzeznik, frontman of the rock band Goo Goo Dolls, recently put his Sea Cliff Victorian on the market for $1.199 million.

Rzeznik is selling because his work schedule in Los Angeles is so heavy that it doesn't leave him enough time to spend on Long Island, says Terry Sciubba, owner-broker of Sherlock Homes Realty Corp., who is marketing the home with Patty Harrigan. "He loves the town and is sad to go," adds Sciubba.

Rzeznik is the second owner of the eight-room house, which was built in 2005 on a 88-by-163- foot lot. "It has great curb appeal," Sciubba says, noting that the house, which has a rocking chair front porch, is on a little hill and has a huge flat backyard where there is a basketball court.

Inside, one is greeted by a two-story cathedral ceiling foyer. The sunny interior features tall windows, parquet floors and a gas-burning fireplace in the living room. The kitchen is designed with a tray ceiling, center island and high-end appliances. There are four bedrooms and 21/2 bathrooms, including the master.
