In East Norwich, two adjoining properties for $785,000, or one for $250,000
A property owner in East Norwich is offering either two adjoining lots for $785,000, or just one of the lots for $250,000.
A 0.34-acre parcel, the double lot features a renovated, 3,215-square-foot, three-bedroom, two-bath Colonial home that dates to 1848, plus an additional 54.7-by-135-foot lot.
“The seller owns this home and he owns both lots,” says Samantha Lordi of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s Real Estate, who is listing the properties with Susana Muir. “He upgraded this three-bedroom, two-bath Colonial. It’s beautiful. The bathrooms are upgraded. He did new windows, new doors.”
The owner hired Paul Russo, a Locust Valley architect, to draw up plans for a 3,500-square, three-bedroom, 2½-bath Colonial home, which would be available to the buyer.
“So it’s really an opportunity and it’s also, if you just want to have just have this home with a lot of property, you’ll have a double lot, but you’ll have the potential to do something else on it,” Lordi said. The plans are drawn to code for Oyster Bay, but the buyer would still have to go before the Planning Board for final approvals, Lordi said.
The annual property taxes for both lots is $10,011.
Located in the Oyster-Bay East Norwich Central School District, the properties are close to shopping, restaurants, the LIRR, nature preserves and arboretums, beaches, schools and library.
