An 1864 home in East Setauket with original architectural details is on the market for $649,999.

Owner Nicole Mascolo describes the home's features as "detail that can’t be replicated today."

That includes the wide-plank hardwood flooring, fireplaces, woodwork and trim, she says. The house, with five bedrooms and 2-1/2 bathrooms, features exposed beam ceilings, two mantled fireplaces and a formal living room that Mascolo says was added as an extension in 1902.  The kitchen, which she says has wide-plank flooring taken from the property’s original barn, features soapstone countertops, shaker cabinets and stainless steel appliances.

The master bedroom, which has its own bathroom, is on the second level with two additional bedrooms.  A barn door opens to a staircase leading to a finished walk-up attic, which has two more rooms featuring exposed bricks from the original fireplaces.

“It’s a true period home,” says listing agent Lisa Jaeger of Douglas Elliman Real Estate, who adds that the house also has modern conveniences such as central air conditioning, 200-AMP electrical service and a new cesspool.

The .87-acre parcel includes a three-car garage with a loft that was built in the footprint of the property’s original barn, she adds.
