A designer’s Bridgehampton home, full of pieces ranging from unique and important to the mundane and everyday, is featured in the July/August issue of Elle Décor magazine.

Interior designer James "Ford" Huniford turned his 1865 shingled saltbox into a modern and rustic oasis. The 3,500-square-foot house has pieces from the likes of an 18th century Belgian jeweler’s table to a driftwood lamp to and painter’s stools acting as cocktail tables.

Huniford takes simple and everyday pieces and turns them into practical uses for his beach home, all with a touch of chic and sleek.

He’s even turned old rowing oars into pieces of art by hanging them above two antique beds from a monastery.
