Fashion designer Mark Badgley has purchased a Tuscan-villa-style Oyster Bay Cove home, according to LI Profiles, a publisher of real estate sales and foreclosure information for Long Island.
Badgley -- who, with James Mischka, is behind the fashion label Badgley Mischka -- paid $1.289 million for the four-bedroom, four-bathroom house, public records show.
The architectural firm of George B. Post & Sons designed the house, which was built as a summer getaway in 1962. The 2.15-acre property comes with beach and mooring rights.
Badgley and Mischka sold a home they owned in Matinecock in December for $1.825 million.
Listing agent Kimberly Bancroft and the agent who brought Badgley to the sale, Kathryn Maxwell Pournaras, both of Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty, declined to comment.
