A French provincial-style estate in Southampton sold for $10 million. The 5,600-square-foot home was originally a dairy barn, and its kitchen includes a dining area in the former silo. But it’s none too rustic -- there are cherry cabinets, marble countertops and commercial-grade appliances. The five-bedroom home has 5½ bathrooms, and the master suite has its own separate staircase. The living room has two opposing fireplaces and a cathedral ceiling. There are oak and tile floors in the living and dining rooms, and French doors leading to the dining patio.
The 3.1-acre property includes a brick courtyard lined with pear trees, a patio and a pool. There’s a pool house with a changing room, a full bath with a steam shower, a kitchenette and a living room with a fireplace. There’s also a staff apartment, a three-car garage and a greenhouse. The listing was a Sotheby’s International Realty exclusive.
Bridgehampton home sells for $14.25 million
A 4,000-square-foot Malibu-style home in Bridgehampton has sold for $14.25 million. The four-bedroom, 5½-bath home is a new construction. It has geothermal heating and three fireplaces. The 0.68-acre oceanfront property includes a two-car garage and a heated pool with infinity edges on two sides. “It’s an incredible location with ocean and bay views,” says Dana Trotter, of Sotheby’s International Realty, who co-listed the property with Bill Williams. “There are ocean views from the pool. And it has a separate pool cabana with an outdoor fireplace and kitchenette.” The home was designed by contemporary Hamptons architect Fred Stelle. “It was really well executed, the whole project,” Trotter says.
