Former NYPD commissioner buys in Hampton Bays
William J. Bratton, who has headed the police forces of New York City, Boston and Los Angeles, recently purchased a home in Hampton Bays, according to the Long Island Real Estate Report.
Bratton and his wife, cable TV newscaster Rikki Jo Klieman, paid $880,000 for the house in early June. It had been listed for $899,000.
The two-story, cedar shingle-style, 3,300-square-foot house has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, according to the listing. The kitchen features Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances.
The house is on a .3-acre lot, and was built in 2007. There is a heated pool and a guesthouse, as well as a waterfall koi pond, an herb garden and a private staircase to the beach and boat mooring.
The home was listed with Kent Rydberg of Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate.
