In this 564-square-foot Fort Salonga contemporary, “every little inch of the house is used,” says listing agent Katy Anastasio of Laffey Real Estate. Listed for $435,000, the two-bedroom, one-bathroom home provides owners with a tiny house, on a large property, in a nice neighborhood.

Called a “chalet in the woods” by Anastasio because of its high peak roof and secluded surroundings, the house is centrally located on a 0.57-acre property.

An enclosed front porch leads to the living room and dining room combination, which has cathedral ceilings, a white brick fireplace and sliding glass doors that overlook the backyard. The first level also includes a kitchen, which has an outside entrance, and a small bedroom. A staircase leads to a loft where the master bedroom is located.

Taxes on the property, which is in the Kings Park School District, are $4,170.

“If somebody has a kid, the school district is wonderful. I just don’t know where they’re going to put the kid,” Anastasio jokes.

The tree-lined property does offer plenty of room to expand.
