1-bedroom garden apartment in Coram asks $150,000
A one-bedroom garden apartment co-op in the North Isle Village community in Coram is on the market for $150,000, with a monthly maintenance fee of $842, including property taxes.
The one-bathroom unit was built in 1973 and includes a kitchen that was updated within the last five years with new appliances, countertops and cabinets, said listing agent Anderson Minaya of EXP Realty.
It comes with shared use of North Isle's indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts and a gym.
“Everything is so expensive now — it’s something that’s affordable,” Minaya said. “Renting a one-bedroom apartment costs $1,800 or more a month — this you could own for less.”
The second-floor unit, on Fargo Court, has a new HVAC unit and a thermostat and electrical panel that were replaced this year, he said.
The co-op has natural gas, forced air heating and central air conditioning. The development is in the Longwood Central School District.
“The community is great, a very friendly community,” Minaya said.
The unit is 762 square feet and has a brick patio. It includes one designated parking spot and areas for guest parking.
“It’s a deluxe unit, which means it’s bigger than the junior unit,” Minaya said. “It’s rentable. Some people buy co-ops and rent them right away — this one you can rent right away.”
