A historic Greek Revival home built by a prominent Greenport builder for a congressman is on the market for $2.9 million.

The seven-bedroom, five-bathroom was built in 1845 by Orange Cleaves, an architect and builder who constructed other homes in the area, as well as Eastern Long Island Hospital. It was built for Frederick William Lord, a doctor who practiced in Sag Harbor who also served in the House of Representatives from 1847 to 1849.

The home, which sits on five acres, features antique details such as marble fireplaces and 12-foot ceilings. One of the bathrooms has a hand-painted china basin.

The listing agent is Susan Sutton of The Corcoran Group.
