An historic Wantagh home, believed to have once been part of a potato farm, is on the market for $1.295 million.

The five-bedroom, 2 1/2-bathroom Colonial features some unusual details, including tree trunks as posts for the support system, says Angela Testa of SAS Real Estate, who is co-listing the property with Claudia Massari.

The home was renovated in the 1990s and includes a kitchen with tin ceilings, butcher block and natural stone countertops and a porcelain farmhouse sink.

The house sits on a more than 33,000-square-foot lot, with an in-ground pool and detached two-car garage.
