This home in North Haven comes with a makeover by a well-known interior designer and famous neighbors, including Richard Gere and Jimmy Buffett. On the market for $5.995 million, the shingled six-bedroom, 6-1/2-bathroom home is being sold by Manhattan designer David Scott, of David Scott Interiors.

Scott, the author of “Outside the Box: An Interior Designer’s Innovative Approach,” decorated all the spaces, including the double-height living room, which features a Belgian marble fireplace and dramatic light fixtures. There are natural fabric and grass-cloth wall coverings, as well as lacquered doors and gray cerused oak floors throughout the home.

“When he bought it, it was a very bare-bones house and he put a ton of money into it,” says Dana Trotter of Sotheby’s International Realty, who is listing the property along with Mala Sander of The Corcoran Group. “I’ve had so many people walk through and say, ‘I wish he could do my house.’ ”

The 2.7-acre property also has a heated gunite pool and spa with a screened cabana and bluestone patios.
