House in Bayport's 'Rose Gardens' enclave for sale
This four-bedroom, two-bath, two-half-bath Victorian on the market is located in the Rose Gardens, a subdivision of homes built in Bayport in 1997. It is listed for $998,500.
The area used to belong to a rose grower and was filled with greenhouses, says Norm Marcioch of of Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate, who is listing the Collins Court home. All the homes were built to look like authentic turn-of-the-century Victorians in terms of architecture, design and color, he says.
The area "almost looks like a movie set," says Marcioch. During the holidays, the owners "go above the norm decorating their homes. It's an -attraction near and far."
The house has six floors -- the basement, the garage, the first floor, the second floor, a bonus room between the first and second, and the walkup attic. There is a heated pool, a brick patio with an outdoor kitchen and a gazebo on the one-acre property.
