A 1906 brick Georgian Colonial is on the market in Huntington Bay for $2.395 million.
It was built by Rouse & Goldstone, a New York City-based architectural firm that built only two homes on Long Island. It served as a home for Augusta Hayes Lyon, who was an active member of the Nathan Hale Garden Club, says Robert Hughes, Town of Huntington historian.

The home has five bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, and boasts high ceilings, unique moldings, wood floors, an eat-in kitchen with marble and soapstone surfaces, lead glass windows, four fireplaces and a master suite with a fireplace and balcony.

The 1-acre property includes a two-bedroom, one-bath guest cottage, an in-ground pool and perennial garden.
