Maybe having the U.S. Open in Long Island’s backyard would inspire house hunters to search for a property with a tennis court. Buyers don’t have to be shopping in the multimillion-dollar range to find one.

100 Baker Ct., $579,000

Finding a house with a tennis court in Nassau County for below $1 million can be difficult. There are two fenced-in tennis courts behind this three-bedroom condo in a gated development called The Yacht Club. “You can see the courts from the back deck,” says listing agent Catherine Kelly of Beach West Realty Corp.

Sure, the courts must be shared with neighbors. But that could make finding an opponent a little easier. The development also features an in-ground heated saltwater pool, a recreational area and a boat slip that’s available for rent or purchase.

The three-story town house underwent a renovation in 2014 that incorporated new air-conditioning and heating systems and new appliances. The unit features 2.5 bathrooms, a living room-dining room combination with fireplace and kitchen with stainless steel appliances and center island breakfast bar.

Homeowners Association fees, which include maintenance and landscaping, are $640 per month. Catherine Kelly, Beach West Realty Corp, 516-330-5958.

This four-bedroom Setauket ranch offers a private tennis court that’s on the back half of its 1-acre lot. The red and green court is fenced and lined with trees. It is next to an L-shaped gunite pool, gazebo, slate patios and electric awnings. Inside the house, in a space off the great room, is a 10-person hot tub.

The four-bedroom, three-bathroom house also has a formal living room with a fireplace and dining room and den that each include radiant-heated floors. The tennis court can be transformed into a volleyball or basketball court, says listing agent Scott Sanders of Shea and Sanders Real Estate.

“Tennis courts in this market area are almost nonexistent,” Sanders says. “Most homes that have tennis courts are at much, much higher price points.”

Taxes are $17,398. Scott Sanders, Shea and Sanders Real Estate, 631-360-0004 ext. 103.

East Quogue

16 Whippoorwill Lane, $979,999

This Contemporary has what listing agent Enzo Morabito calls “all the toys.” One of those toys is a fenced-in Har-Tru tennis court. It sits next to a half-basketball court, a 20-by-40-foot heated pool and outdoor shower. “All of the perks you would want to have in a vacation house, this has,” says Morabito of Douglas Elliman Real Estate. “It’s what life is all about in the Hamptons.”

The house, built in 1997, features six bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. The open layout living area has a brick fireplace, a wall of glass with dual sliding doors and cathedral ceilings with skylights. The adjoining dining area features another set of sliders leading to the back patio.

The master bedroom has oversized sliding glass doors that open to a private terrace overlooking the pool and tennis court.

The 1.02-acre property has Southampton Town beach rights. Taxes are $4,602. Enzo Morabito, Douglas Elliman Real Estate, 516-695-3433.
