If you want to buy in East Meadow

Call East Meadow recreation central. This community is home to Eisenhower Park as well as to three town parks.
Eisenhower Park, which spans 930 acres, is larger than Central Park. Amenities include an aquatic center, golf courses, athletic fields and picnic areas.
Residents are also quick to boast about other facilities, including the outdoor pool complex at Veterans Memorial Park. "We have a phenomenal Little League complex on Merrick Avenue," says resident Richie Krug of Century 21 American homes, noting it comprises two full-size fields, five midsize fields and a mini field.
East Meadow is "a great place to raise kids," says former resident Chris Montalbano of Realty Connect USA.
Residents have access to a plethora of eateries and shops along Hempstead Turnpike, Newbridge Road and East Meadow and North Jerusalem avenues.
Getting around is a snap, too, as the community is centrally located. The Wantagh Parkway is on its east side, while the Meadowbrook Parkway is to its west.
Buyers can find a variety of housing styles and prices, Montalbano says, adding that sales are vibrant, especially for homes priced $450,000 or less.
