Kathleen Turner reduces price of Amagansett house

Actress Kathleen Turner has knocked a cool million off the asking price for her six-bedroom home in Amagansett, according to the Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate Web site.

The property has been on and off the market since 2005, when it was originally listed at $8 million. The actress has lowered the price several times. Last year, it was listed for $5.9 million. It is now listed at $4.95 million.

Turner’s home is a 5,000-square-foot house built in 1903. There are two living rooms, five fireplaces, a butler’s pantry and a maid’s room. The one-acre property overlooks a 25-acre preserve. Amenities include a heated gunite pool, a pool house and a hot tub.
