Kelly Killoren Bensimon drops East Hampton home's price
Reality TV star Kelly Killoren Bensimon has dropped the asking price of her Hamptons home again — this time to $5.5 million.
The former “Real Housewives of New York City” cast member’s East Hampton estate had been on the market for $12 million. It was later reduced to $8 million, then most recently to $6.999 million, says Enzo Morabito of Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate’s Enzo Morabito Team, which is listing the property.
“We feel it’s absolutely now a sellable price,” says Morabito.
Bensimon says she had to slash the price to get the house off her hands.
“I’m a working single mother,” says Bensimon, an author and model.
She built the Further Lane house -- one of the Hamptons’ most exclusive addresses -- with her former husband, fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon.
“I can’t afford the lifestyle I did when I was married,” she says.
The Bravo cable TV reality show has featured the five-bedroom, 5.5-bath home several times. The master suite includes a fireplace and a terrace. Staff quarters are included within the 5,800-square-foot house. The 1.2-acre property has a heated pool as well as a pond.
Bensimon, who now lives in Manhattan with her two daughters, says she hopes to buy Hamptons property again someday. “I love Long Island,” she says. “I’ve been going there since I was 16, so it is home.”
