A four-bedroom, two-bath high-ranch on the southern tip of Lindenhurst within walking distance of Great South Bay and with access to a private beach is on the market for $599,000.

The 1,500-square-foot home has a kitchen on each level and offers residents the “unique opportunity to be part of a small, private beach community,” said Salvatore Ammirati of Douglas Elliman Real Estate, who is co-listing the home with Matthew Ruiz.

Set on Surf Street, the home is in mint condition, Ammirati said, adding, "It is literally unpack and move in.”

The house is well-suited to entertaining, he said. In addition to the main kitchen off the second-story deck, there's a second full kitchen on the ground floor. Both have stainless steel appliances.

Built in 1964 on a 0.19-acre lot, with a fenced-in backyard, the house has wood floors, a fireplace in the living area with a brick surround, and radiant-heated floors in the primary bathroom.

The sale includes leased solar panels. Heating and cooking are fueled by gas, and cooling is via wall air conditioning units.

The house is a few blocks from the waterfront Shore Road Park and several marinas, and is a short drive to shops and restaurants in downtown Lindenhurst.

It is in the Lindenhurst Union Free School District and is connected to the sewer system.

Annual property taxes are $12,933, and flood insurance is $2,049, according to Ammirati. Annual dues for the Bayview-Surf Civic Association are $300, he said.
