Why it's for sale: Kenny, 49, who works in security for a school district, and Lori, 45, a part-time hairdresser, say they're thinking of moving south.
The Furrs bought their home in 1996 and raised their now-teenage kids there. Kenny talks about the 1,600-square-foot home:
"When I walked into this house, I knew right away: this is the one. It's so different and has a unique floor plan. I love the way it flows. It almost feels like a ski lodge, with large windows, southern exposure, trapezoid windows. . . . We have two living rooms. The kids have their own living room and my wife and I have ours. . . . In the kitchen everything was renovated, but the cabinets were refinished. . . . Both bathrooms have been renovated. All the original hardwood flooring has been refinished. . . .
The roof and gutters are new. The house was freshly painted. There's a new wood deck that leads to composite decking around the pool to avoid splinters. . . . We have Andersen windows throughout, and 75 percent of them are only 5 years old. . . . It's a great home for entertaining. You have a lot of room, and a very roomy and large backyard. . . . The neighborhood is beautiful. We're only the second owners of this home."
