Seems like Madonna’s grabbing all the real estate headlines in the Hamptons lately.

In December, reports surfaced that The Material Girl had agreed to purchase Wild Ocean Farm, a 26-acre Bridgehampton horse farm owned by photographer Kelly Klein. Madonna also had been rumored to be eyeing the 24-acres next to the farm. A real estate source tells Newsday that both sales will close next week and that the singer is paying $6.5 million for Klein’s farm and $2.2 million for the 24 acres next door.

Now comes word that Madonna has also rented a home (one source tells Newsday she’ll rent for a year) in East Hampton, presumably to be closer to her newly acquired farm and horses. The six-bedroom, five-bath home sits on 2.2 acres and has a guest house and a pool house, all with private ocean access.

But will Madge soon tire of the summer traffic between East Hampton and Bridgehampton? One real estate agent we spoke to thinks that Madonna will soon realize that a rental in Bridgehampton may be more the ticket, considering the 20-minute to half-hour drive between the two communities in summer traffic.
