This circa-1928 stucco house in the historic Merrick Gables neighborhood includes three original stained-glass windows, its listing agent says. The asking price for the three-bedroom, 1.5-bath ranch is $484,990.

Two are on opposite sides of the living room, which has a fireplace and high vaulted ceilings that are lined with wood beams. The third is in the raised dining room, says listing agent Seth Pitlake of Douglas Elliman Real Estate. He is co-listing with Louise Pitlake.

“Because of the 20-foot ceilings and the formal dining room, you have a really dramatic floor plan,” he says. “It’s ahead of its time.”

Recent updates include central air conditioning, gas heat and new windows throughout. A roof was also replaced. An eat-in kitchen was updated about 10 years ago with new appliances, Formica countertops and wood cabinets. Hardwood floors throughout the home are currently carpeted over, Pitlake says.

The master bedroom suite has a half-bath en suite with a small “fingertip” pedestal sink. A finished lower level includes a playroom, a den with a bar, laundry, storage and utilities.

A den opens through French doors to the backyard of the 60-by-200-foot parcel, which backs the Merokee Preserve and has a detached one-car garage.
