A modern home in the Ram Island section of Shelter Island has hit the market. Designed by Hamptons architects Barnes Coy, it is listed for $2.1 million.
The three-bedroom, 2-1/2 bathroom home was built in 2001. It has a high-ceilinged living area and bedrooms on one floor and a foyer with French doors at varied angles.
The modern architecture is unique for the area, says listing agent Linda McCarthy of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty. “There are a lot of traditional homes,” McCarthy says.
The two-acre property borders preserved land and has a pool, tennis and bocce courts with a gazebo.
