A waterfront home in New Suffolk comes with a lookout tower. It is on the market for $2.825 million.
The three-bedroom, three-bathroom home was constructed in 1967 by builder Vincent Cunningham, but it features wide-plank pine floors and old doors that harken back to an earlier time.
The tower, with panoramic views, was added by a later owner, says listing agent Marianne Collins of Brown Harris Stevens.
“He had the idea of wanting to build houses that look antique,” Collins says. “The style of them is such that you walk in and you think this must be late 1700s or early 1800s.”
Much of the home overlooks Cutchogue Harbor, with two levels of mahogany decks and a screened porch. The .7-acre property has 120 feet of beach, and there is a separate barn.
