There’s plenty of country comfort to be found at this house situated on 2.55 acres.

Listed for $889,000, this 2,800-square-foot Northport home was once a working horse farm, where owner Debi Triola boarded horses and taught students.

“It’s a nice way to live, and it’s very private,” says Triola, who owns a nearby flower shop.

While large curtained windows, wood floors, throwback barn doors and a porch overlooking a horse barn give the appearance of a vintage country home, it was custom-built in 1990. Triola and her husband, Harry, bought it in 1997.

The four-bedroom, two-bathroom, two-half-bathroom home is filled with more unusual accents such as a custom stained-glass front door, handcrafted Tiffany-style lamps and antique doorknobs.

“Every doorknob is an antique — there are a lot from the New York Public Library,” says Triola, who purchased them over the years at auctions and antique shops.

The basement is finished with a bar, arcade, TV, billiards room and gym.

There is also a one-bedroom, 1.5-bath guest cottage with a deck, kitchen and dining room, large den, laundry area, spiral staircase and cathedral ceilings.

The primary six-stall barn has an office and a nine-ton hayloft, and is equipped with a separate wash stall, updated electric for fans, heated water buckets and an audio link to the house for keeping tabs on the horses.

Each of the “in-out” stalls allows horses to come and go between their respective stalls and paddocks at their own pace, and there is a lighted 190-by-150-foot riding ring with sand footing and a bluestone base. A smaller barn is being used for storage.
