Old Westbury Gardens to hold second show house
Old Westbury Gardens just announced its second Orchard Hill Designer Showhouse.
The theme of the show house will be "Home for the Holidays" – with designers decorating rooms in Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s themes.
There will be a kick-off party Oct. 29 at the 1856 farmhouse, the former home of Peggie Phipps Boegner. She founded Old Westbury Gardens and lived in Orchard Hill from 1930 to 2006, when she passed away.
The last showhouse was held there in 2008.
The showhouse will run from Oct. 30 to Dec. 11.
Tickets cost $25 at the gate, $20 in advance and $15 for members.
