This three-bedroom, three-bath Centerport Contemporary is located on the former 80-acre turn-of-the-century Gold Coast estate of Plaisance, which once belonged to socialite Mary de Brabant and her husband, Marius, a railroad and shipping executive. (She was a half-sister of Huguette Clark, the reclusive 104-year-old Manhattan heiress who has been in the news.)

The property was eventually sold and subdivided in the 1950s, and the main house, a Tudor, fell into disrepair before being torn down. There are remains of the estate’s reflection pool, sunken garden and brick walls on the property, which is on the market for a price range of $739,000 to $799,876.

“It’s a very special place, very quiet and serene,” says Tim Cavanagh of Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate, who is co-listing the home with Linda Miller. “You do get a sense of the history of the place.”

The 1976 custom-built home, located at 21 Gina Dr., features vaulted ceilings and walls of glass. For yearly dues, the owners of the 1.12-acre property can join the Plaisance Beach Club, which includes deeded beach, mooring, a dock and a gazebo.
