A Patchogue house listed for $889,000 allows the homeowner to live upstairs from his or her business.
Currently serving as a chiropractor’s office, the four-bedroom, two-bathroom Victorian contains office space on the main floor and a residence upstairs.
Dr. Allan Cherkin, who bought the property in June 1987 and initially lived in the residence, says the home was first owned by a doctor who lived in the house and added an extension onto the side of the property for his practice.
The house, Cherkin says, was built with 4-by-4-inch wood and contains original stained glass throughout.
It was built in the late 1800s or early 1900s.
The house is listed with Craig Sanders of Douglas Elliman Real Estate.
