A recently renovated Sag Harbor home that once served as the “summer White House” for President Chester A. Arthur is on the market for $14.2 million.

Arthur served as the 21st President of the United States from 1881 to 1885. The six-bedroom, 4 1⁄2 bathroom Victorian, built in 1796, was recently renovated by renowned architect Steven Gambrel. He retained much of the historic detail, such as original fireplaces, while adding modern touches that include a sleek kitchen and bathrooms, along with a media room and wine cellar in the finished basement. The landscaped .34-acre property has a gunite pool.

“It was really a state-of-the-art renovation,” says Felicitas Kohl of The Corcoran Group, who is co-listing the property with Michaela Keszler of Douglas Elliman Real Estate.
