A 1956 three-bedroom, two-bath split-level in North Bellmore transformed by a gut renovation completed last month is listed for $779,000. Annual taxes are $14,248.

Renovations to the 1,900-square-foot home, which is on Howard Road, include a new kitchen with black and white custom wood cabinetry, granite countertops and a 10-foot-long island, and new wood and tile floors throughout the house.

“The kitchen has a wine cooler and wine rack, and new black steel appliances,” said the listing agent, Dana Sepulveda of Quantum Realty Management. “Everything is new, inside and out.”

New elements include the electrical and plumbing systems, energy-efficient natural gas heating and central air conditioning systems, and a 50-gallon water heater.

A family room/den on the lower level has a large alcove set off by two columns, with high-hat lighting. There is also an attached one-car garage and an unfinished basement.

Windows throughout the home are black on the outside and white on the inside, giving it a contemporary feel.

“It’s a family-friendly neighborhood,” Sepulveda said, adding that the house was renovated by a local contractor. “He’s not a house flipper; he custom designed this house and put his heart and soul into it to make something that stands out," she said.

The house is on 0.14 acre and is zoned for the North Bellmore School District for elementary students and the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District for middle and high school students.

Located 10 minutes from Jones Beach and near highways, the house is in walking distance of several main streets with shops, Sepulveda said.
