Rich Cribs: Kathleen Turner sells Amagansett pad, and more
SOLD, FINALLY. Actress Kathleen Turner has sold her home on Bluff Road in Amagansett, according to the Long Island Real Estate Report. The sales price was $3.9 million, a little less than half the $8 million price she asked for the property in 2005. Records show that Turner purchased the home in 1990 for $488,500. The 1903 dwelling overlooks a 25-acre preserve, has six bedrooms, five fireplaces, two living rooms and original lead glass windows. Turner had reportedly made extensive renovations to the property in recent years.
FOR MULTIMILLIONS. If you are looking to create your own Hamptons compound, for $18.8 million, this 3.4 acre property may be just the thing. Harald Grant of Sotheby’s International Realty has the listing for a Southampton estate, which has approval for a subdivision into two 1.7 acre lots. No need to start your compound from scratch, though. There’s already an 11 room, 6,000 square foot, turn of the century home on the property. The home has 6 bedrooms and 5 full and 2 half baths, a gunite pool and cabana, and tennis courts. There’s also barn that’s been converted into a two-car garage.
