A Craftsman-style home in Rockville Centre on the market for $599,000 at one time served as an animal hospital.
One of the founding members of the village lived in the home, which was built in 1858 and features original woodwork, says Matthew Minardi of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty, who is co-listing the property with Scott Wallace.
The living room of the four-bedroom, 1 1/2-bathroom home comes with a gas fireplace, and the second floor has original hardwood floors and pine paneling. There is a screened porch off the living room and kitchen, and the backyard has a heated freeform pool.
