The Samuel Osborn Hedges House in Bridgehampton is on the market for $9.875 million.

Originally built circa 1900, the Queen Anne-style seven-bedroom, two-bath home has been in the same family since 1945. The 2.6-acre property, located on a hill overlooking Bridgehampton Village, also includes a separate two-bedroom, two-bath guest cottage that originally served as stables. The land used to house two schools, one of which was moved to Wainscott and is still standing.

The main home still retains much of its stately charm, with details such as pickled pecan and oak floors, front and rear staircases and original windows and doors. The home’s traditional layout boasts a parlor, formal dining room, eat-in kitchen, full size attic and large safe, originally belonging to Samuel Hedges, in the main floor study.

The property is listed with Jane Petersen and Lewis Apito of The Corcoran Group.
