The final piece of oil magnate Harry F. Sinclair’s Sunshine estate to hit the market, a 1.18-acre Kings Point parcel with a 7,000-square-foot home, boasts a new, lower price — $9.55 million. That’s a $700,000 reduction.
“The property sits atop the highest point in Kings Point and possesses the most direct waterfront and, quite frankly, the best New York City skyline views from anywhere on Long Island,” says listing agent Michael Misiti, of Douglas Elliman Real Estate. He is co-listing with Michael Stanco.
The eight-bedroom residence with five full baths and two half-baths was built in 1957 and has views of the Throgs Neck and Whitestone bridges, One World Trade Center, the Empire State Building and 432 Park Ave.
Interior amenities include a living room with a fireplace, a formal dining room and an eat-in kitchen with a breakfast area. Upstairs, there are two bedroom wings. One contains a master suite with high ceilings and a picture window; the other opens to a deck.

The parcel previously was part of Harry F. Sinclair’s Sunshine estate, which was built around 1900 for H.S. Gilbert. Sinclair bought the property after striking it rich in the oil industry. Sunshine was torn down in 1954 and the estate was later subdivided.
