A property in Setauket with five houses, including two with historic sections, used by the owner as a family compound, is on the market for $2.2 million. The 2.7-acre parcel is made up of three separate lots that are also for sale individually.
The owner had purchased the additional properties for his adult children, but the family members living there eventually moved, says listing agent Randy Stander of Summit Realty Group of NY.
The main property, also listed separately for $1.1 million, has two large homes, both with three bedrooms and four bathrooms, and one with parts dating back to the 19th century. Also on the main property are a heated in-ground pool and a large pool house with a full bathroom, as well as a gazebo with a built-in barbecue.
The middle property, also on the market separately for $699,000, has a three-bedroom home with part of it dating to the 1800s and a separate seven-car garage with an office above it. The property also has a gazebo and a fish pond with a waterfall.
The third property, also listed for $499,000, has two homes, each with two bedrooms and one bathroom, sitting on more than an acre of property.
