A two-bedroom, one-bath Southold Craftsman cottage on a private lane is on the market for $499,999. One of about 20 similar cottages in the Arshamomaque Colony, the 1940s-era home was built as a summer guesthouse for friends and family of a prominent New Jersey doctor whose Victorian mansion still sits on the land, although it has been converted into a bed-and-breakfast.
The cottage features restored yellow pine floors throughout, new windows and a vintage stone fireplace.
The cottage has deeded rights to access the Long Island Sound, and it’s a short walk to Hashamomuck Pond, for which the cottage has an easement.
It is listed with Gerald Cibulski of Century 21 Albertson Realty.
