Sunday's Over 50 Fair to offer buying, selling, renting tips

Seniors who are planning to move will find several helpful resources at the Over 50 Fair, which is from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 26  at the Melville Marriott. New digs

The fair will include three booths for sales and rentals in over-55 communities: Fairfield Properties, which offers rental properties for seniors; Islip Landing (seen here), a town home and condo community; and the Northwind Group, which includes Eastport Meadows, Village Vistas, Setauket Meadows and Maple Square Luxury Townhomes.

Buying and selling

Laffey Associates will have a senior real estate specialist at the fair – that designation means the Realtor is certified to counsel clients ages 50 and over through changes such as relocating, refinancing, or selling the family home. Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate and Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate will both have booths as well.

Moving

Accent Home Staging and Organizing will be there promoting Senior Adult Move Management Services. Some of the services include working with your new floor plan to determine what furniture will fit and how it should be laid out, overseeing the move and helping with packing and unpacking.
