An Upper Brookville home designed by the late New England architect and author Royal Barry Wills, who is often cited as one of America’s most influential residential architects, is on the market. The 1950 farm ranch, which is listed for $1.595 million, contains some of his signature features, including a large central chimney and many windows, says Anne Kerr of Piping Rock Associates, who is marketing the home with Antje Dolido. “There are many windows with 24 to 36 panes, so there’s always natural light just flowing through,” Kerr says. Other details include built-ins — from bookcases to drawers — as well as three fireplaces. The fireplace in the master bedroom is accented with Delft tiles. Vintage hardware, such as doorknobs and hinges, can be found throughout the house. There are four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The house is on a hill, on 3.86 acres.
