'Voice' host Carson Daly buying Manhasset house

Carson Daly, host of NBC's highly rated music competition show "The Voice," is in contract to buy a $6.499 million home in Manhasset, according to real estate records and people familiar with the deal.

The six-bedroom, five-bath, four-half-bath brick Colonial is on 1.3 acres with an in-ground pool, pool house and bluestone patio, according to the listing with Marybeth Avallone of Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty. The house was built in 2005, the listing says.

The property first came on the market in June 2012 with an original asking price of $6.875 million, real estate records show.

Annual property taxes are $69,975, according to the real estate listing.

Daly also hosts a late-night talk show and is a contributor to the "Today" show. His publicist declined to comment.
