A 4,100-square-foot waterfront Nantucket-style home built in 1912 on Alden Lane in Quiogue, which has a reliable rental history from Memorial to Labor Day, has listed for $5.995 million.
The seven-bedroom, five-bath house sits on 1½ acres overlooking Quantuck Bay. The sale price includes the home's furnishings and a 21-foot Boston Whaler.
"The outdoor area includes a heated saltwater gunite pool with a built-in hot tub, kiddie pool and lounging area," said listing broker Aimee Martin of Saunders & Associates in Westhampton Beach. “It also has multiple deck areas for entertaining with an outdoor kitchen and shower, a covered porch and a screened porch.” There's also updated bulkheading and dock space.

Ellen and Russell Schreiber, who bought the property as an investment seven years ago and used it as a getaway, are downsizing. “We love the private lane that we're on,” Ellen said. “We love waking up to incredible sunrises and looking out on Quantuck Bay and being on the water, whether on the boat or other activities.”

Annual taxes on the house, which is in the Westhampton Beach School District, are $30,777.
There’s a large eat-in kitchen, a den/family room, entrance foyer and walk-in closets. The home is energy-efficient, with a new Tesla solar shingle roof and whole-house Sonos sound system.

The home was once owned by the late Richard Clurman, a former head of Time-Life News Service and an editorial director at Newsday. “Neighbors tell me Clurman would often fly his seaplane to the house for the weekends with journalist friends like Mike Wallace in tow,” Martin said.
